The Last Fisherman of Taganga

(El último pescador de Taganga )
Santiago Trujillo | Drama

2017 | 18 minutes | Colombia

Father and son chase sea dreams in perilous, climate-changed oceans. Amid a bleak future, an end becomes a new start

Synopsis

The fishermen have left Taganga Bay in the Colombian Caribbean; there is nothing left to fish. However, a father and his son do not give up the idea of living from the sea.

But each fishing day is a dangerous adventure in the midst of an ocean that is succumbing to climate change, technological pollution and the proliferation of lionfish. Without a possible future, sometimes the end can be a new beginning.
