Synopsis
At the beginning of the 21st century, four scientists and marine specialists undertake a series of journeys along the Peruvian Pacific coast—by air, land, and underwater—to explore the millennial relationship between ancient cultures and the sea. Their mission highlights the evolutionary history of the ocean and its lasting impact today. Along the way, they are met with a surprising discovery: new species.
