Bad Steps, Ep. 02 - Female Stereotypes

(Estereotipos femeninos)
Sebastián Arriagada, Felipe Hurtado, Juan Alfonso Reece | Documentary, Series

2019 | 26 minutes | Argentina

The stories of Mimi and Greisy expose how difficult and almost impossible it is to have sports careers as women, but stand as an example of how sacrifice makes labels unimportant.

Synopsis

From Ecuador, Mimi Barona, one of the most recognized surfers in South America and the world, tells us about the path she has had to take to be where she is. In parallel, the Colombian skater Greisy Barragán Elles has practically had to leave professional skateboarding due to the lack of support and spaces. Both tell us how difficult and almost impossible it is to have a sports career as women.
