Synopsis

For a long time, geography and limited access have kept a territory in northern Chile isolated, a territory inhabited by fishermen since the time of the ancient Changos. This place is steeped in symbolism and rock art, making these men the natural heirs of a culture that remains alive in their way of working and living in this land.

Series Description
A six-part documentary series that shows how the culture of the Chango people, considered extinct until a couple of years ago, is still deeply rooted among many artisanal fishermen who live in the coastal territory of northern Chile.

Reviews

"Through an intimate and visually striking narrative, the series immerses us in the lives of the small-scale fishermen who inhabit the nation’s coastal regions—people who have kept alive the traditions, techniques, and worldview of their ancestors—taking us on a journey through memory and craftsmanship." — Daphne Riffo, Espacio 13C
