Infernal Dolls
(Muñecos infernales)
Benito Alazraki | Fiction, Thriller, Science Fiction, Classic
1961 | 85 minutes | Mexico
In this remastered Mexican classic, four men are cursed by a voodoo priest for stealing a sacred idol from his temple.
Synopsis
REMASTERED!
Stealing religious artifacts for private collections is never a good idea. When perpetrators of such sacrilege start dying under mysterious circumstances, a scholar and a medical doctor trying to unravel this enigma come face to face with Zandor, a powerful voodoo warlock and his band of harrowing doll-men assassins. While politics and cultural appropriation might be muddled in this creepy tale, in all fairness, Zandor’s revenge has a very solid point.
This film is part of The Permanencia Voluntaria Archives, whose main objective is to rescue, preserve, and restore the popular cinema of Mexico's cinematographic history.
