Synopsis

What begins as a young couple’s attempt to document pregnancy and family life during the COVID-19 lockdown becomes an unexpected chronicle of a country in turmoil. Over three years, independent Cuban journalist Abraham Jiménez Enoa and his partner Claudia Calviño film their lives with a cellphone as political repression increasingly enters their home. Their camera captures Abraham’s surveillance, the historic July 11, 2021 protests, and the ultimatum that forces him into exile. From Cuba to Barcelona, their intimate family journey becomes a story of love, resilience, displacement, and the struggle to begin again.
