Chasing Waves, Protecting Wild Places
For brothers Joaquín and Julián Azulay, known as Gauchos del Mar, surfing is a way to explore the world and connect with the places and people they encounter. From the rugged coastlines of Tierra del Fuego to the windswept Falkland Islands and the fragile wilderness of Antarctica, their documentaries combine daring expeditions, encounters with local communities, and a deep appreciation for nature. More than a search for the perfect wave, these journeys call attention to the beauty of threatened environments and the importance of protecting them.
