Synopsis

Aleixo Paz has survived a devastating accident that left him with burns covering 91% of his body. Despite enduring unimaginable pain, Aleixo confronts each day plagued by memories and the stares of others. His journey becomes a poignant exploration of what lies beyond survival when all hope seems lost.

At 9 years old, Aleixo faced a harrowing ordeal when his father's truck erupted in flames, leaving him hospitalized for a year and a half, battling two cardiac arrests. Now 17, his scars are constant reminders of his trauma.

As he navigates the complexities of existence, Aleixo finds refuge in his passion for songwriting, using music to cope with his pain and connect with an imaginary audience. With the support of his mother and a friend, he summons the courage to step onto the stage, embracing the possibility of a life beyond survival. “Boy from the Blaze” offers a compelling testament to the power of perseverance and the transformative power of artistic expression.
